John is an award winning financial planner with over 10 years of experience. He was named one of Wealth Professional Canada’s Rising Stars in 2021. FP Canada gave him an award for achieving the highest marks in Canada on the QAFP exams to become a financial planner.

John is a Chartered Investment Manager® (CIM®) and Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) who started Retirement Income Group in June of 2019 and leads a team providing wealth management services to families and businesses.

John started his career in 2015 and previously worked in the wealth management division at one of Canada's big 5 banks creating customized wealth management strategies for the bank’s high net worth and corporate clients.

John is passionate about philanthropy and sits on the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer Society of Durham Region and an Alzheimer Foundation. John enjoys the outdoors, cooking, specialty coffee and photography, all of the photos on the website are his originals.
